Masterclass at MA Acting with Andres Corchero

IAB is pleased to announce the visit of choreographer and director Andrés Corchero (Institut del Teatre) at the MA Acting. Specifically, Andrés Corchero will deliver a Masterclass on the Body Weather technique within the Module of Movement directed by Valentina Temussi.

 

Dancer and choreographer, Corchero works also with actors and theatre directors as part of his personal investigation on the creativity potential of the body. Between 1980 and 1985 he studied theatre, contemporary mime and clown and is an actor in various theatre and circus shows. A tireless explorer of body languages, in 1985 he meets Butoh dance and travels to Tokyo to study with Kazuoh Ohno and Min Tanaka, dancers and recognized teachers of Butoh. From 1986 to 1995 he alternated the collaborations as guest dancer of Min Tanaka with his own creation work in Barcelona and Europe. From 1986 to 1995 he was a member of the Mai-juku dance company, directed by Min Tanaka, with whom he dances in Japan, Europe and the United States. He is currently a Professor at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.
