A BA (Hons) in Dance is a Bachelor of Arts degree, also known as an undergraduate university programme. Equivalent to a BFA in Dance in the USA.
The IAB offers two different BA (Hons) Dance degrees validated by Liverpool John Moors University in the UK.
A BA Hons is recognised as a higher level of achievement compared to a standard BA. In many countries, an Honours degree is also preferred if you want to apply for further study, like a Master’s degree.
The dance programes at the IAB are full-time and begin in September of each academic year, lasting three years.
We highly recommend you research both programmes to understand the differences and choose the one most suited to your needs. You may find it helpful to attend some our admission events including programme talks led by the programme leaders.
You can find our graduating dance students working in music videos, joining contemporary dance companies, touring with international artists, doing residencies in major cities, on cruises all around the world and working in the ensemble of musical theatre shows.Â

Dance university degrees while living in spain
Whilst we are based in Spain, and our training is taught by the Instiute of the Arts Barcelona, all our BA (Hons) degrees are validated by Liverpool John Moores University based in the UK.
This means our training is fully taught in English, and we are held to the same standard of teaching and assessing as a UK university.
After successfully completing your BA (Hons) degree, you will receive a UK university certificate by Liverpool John Moores University.
