BA (Hons) Acting

Bachelor degree in Acting

Our BA (Hons) Acting degree spans three years, progressively building essential skills for aspiring actors. This undergraduate bachelor’s degree covers acting techniques, voice and speech, movement, and singing. Students explore theatre history, theory, and contemporary practices while engaging in practical projects. The first year establishes foundational skills, the second year emphasises application in various styles, and the final year centres on professional practice through public performances and a short film project. The programme cultivates a holistic understanding of the performing arts, equipping graduates with practical proficiency, theoretical knowledge, and industry preparation for a successful career on the stage and screen.

The Foundation in Acting course is an immersive and dynamic programme designed to equip aspiring actors with the essential skills and knowledge needed to enter a Higher Education / Conservatoire training in Acting, or to embark on a successful career in the performing arts.

Master’s degree in Acting

The Master in Creative Performance Practice: Acting offers a comprehensive exploration of acting methods in the context of contemporary international performance. Rooted in creative performance practice, the postgraduate degree emphasises practical learning and research. Divided into two key modules, the programme guides artists in training through a journey of self-discovery and skill development. “The Embodied Actor” module introduces diverse theatre texts and genres, fostering a strong acting foundation through practice, voice, and movement. In “The Contemporary Actor,” students engage with modern theatre forms, sharpening their abilities to identify and perform in various contexts. The programme also addresses interactive storytelling and digital performance, highlighting global performance traditions.
