Stevie Rickard
After a degree in drama at the University of East Anglia, I trained (Drama Studio London) and worked as an actor in the UK, later taught scene study and improvisation at several UK drama and music schools, then trained as voice coach, completing the MA in Voice Studies at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Before relocating to Spain, I taught at many of the UK’s leading and emergent drama schools. I was a member of the voice faculty at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) for 10 years.
I have worked on a number of productions at London’s National Theatre, including: Macbeth, Antony & Cleopatra, Follies, Home I’m Darling, Love – and the acoustically experimental Anna (nominee, The Stage Awards 2020, Technical Achievement group), as well as other London and regional theatre. For the Odéon Théâtre de l’Europe Paris I worked on Une Mort dans la Famille.
Film coaching in Spain includes: Bandoleros, The Bookshop, There Be Dragons, The Diplomat, The Interpreter.
Alongside actors, I coach radio and television presenters, choir leaders, ambassadors, trainee teachers – potentially anyone who’s a professional voice user. I was the voice coach to the Counsel to the Grenfell Inquiry.
